Eagles Break Through in Home Opener

In football action Friday night the Eagles had a big win against Triton Central 42-33. Large performances were turned in by quarterback Matt Hunt with 310 yards passing and Anthony Warrum who caught 3 touchdown passes and had 230 yards receiving. Other bright spots included Randall Cork and Alex Cook. On defense, Matt Costakis had 2 interceptions and the defensive team forced 5 turnovers on the night. Kicker, Kyle Green, averaged 38 yards in six kicks and kept Triton on the wrong side of the field all night long. Heritage is 2-0 on the season and is ranked 8th in 2A. It was a wonderful atmosphere on Friday night; come out this Friday (9/3) when we host the Edinburgh Lancers in the second of three in a row varsity home games. Game time is 7:30pm.
