Boys Soccer Team WINS Regional Championship!

The boys soccer team earned its first IHSAA Regional Title this past Saturday with a 5-1 win against Centerville High School.  The Eagles started the game strongly as Graham Allgood scored a minute into the game.  Willie Nguyen put the team up 2-0 with a goal that deflected off of a Centerville defender.  Centerville was able to get on the scoreboard with a goal to make things interesting to close out the first half.  The boys were aggressive to start the second half, and Luke Peduto extended the lead with a beautiful left footed goal.  Goals by Anders Rotto and Sam Hall put the game out of reach.

With the win, the boys extended their record to 10-7-2.  The Eagles will play this Saturday, October 22 in the Semi-State match in Evansville and will take on 16th ranked Lawrenceburg in the first game.  Game time is noon central time.

Eagles Advance in Regional Tournament!

Congratulations to our Boys' Soccer team for an outstanding effort last night.  Our Eagles beat Batesville 2-1 in extra periods.  The winning goal was scored by Kevin Yang in the first overtime period.  After a scoreless first half, Willie Nguyen broke through scoring on a superb play to give HCS the lead.  Batesville tied the score at the 2:30 mark, but our team regrouped for the overtime win.   It was an outstanding total team effort supported by great bench play.

The Eagles are on to the regional finals at 1:00 p.m. this Saturday, October 15 versus the home Centerville team.  Come on out to support your team.   Go Eagles!

Welcome Scott Pittman, New Boys' Varsity Lacrosse Head Coach

The Athletic Department is very pleased to announce Scott Pittman as our new Boys’ Varsity Lacrosse Head Coach.   Scott has been prominently involved in the Carmel LAX program for several years, serving in both coaching and club leadership roles.  Most importantly, Scott has a heart for the Lord and for impacting young men for Christ.

In Scott’s own words, "I am honored to accept the HCS boys’ lacrosse coaching position.  Heritage is a very highly respected program with an excellent lacrosse tradition and it is a privilege to have the opportunity to serve the players, coaches, and parents in this capacity.  I am looking forward to getting to know everyone and seeing what God has in store for us as we seek to please and glorify Him through this great sport."  Please join us in welcoming Scott and his wife Jill to our HCS family and our Boys LAX program.

We would also like to take this opportunity and extend a big ‘thank you’ to Chris Teeter, Tom Flynn and Dan Sikes for their assistance in the search process.  Your efforts were greatly appreciated.  Keep your eyes open for further information regarding opportunities to meet Scott.

The advantage of a custom fit mouth guard as compared to a store bought version is huge and will provide more comfort and safety for your athlete.  Unfortunately, the custom mouth guard is not available for those athletes currently in orthodontics, due to the constant movement of the teeth.  However, a standard guard is available for free in a variety of colors (including Heritage blue).  The professional staff at Dental Works is dedicated to serving your family’s health needs and our community.  Call for your FREE custom mouth guard today.
