Eagles Lose Heartbreaker to Cardinal Ritter

Our football team lost a heartbreaker to rival Cardinal Ritter 55-20 on Friday night.  The Eagles fought hard but could not prevail against the Raiders.  Some bright spots on the night were Anthony Warrum with 128 yards receiving and 1 touchdown.  Warrum also had 120 kick return yards on the night. Brendon Burke scored a late touchdown on a lateral from Anthony Warrum at the 5 yard line going in; recording Burke’s first touchdown of the year.   CJ Stein led the defense in tackling with 13 on the night. A tough loss for the Eagles on Friday, but they look to rebound this week on the road against a very good Shenandoah team in round 1 of Sectional play.  Come out this week and support your Eagles.  With a win on Friday night at Shenandoah the Eagles would play host to Union County on October 29th.
