Girls Track Team Turns Out Great Performances at City Track Meet

The Girls Track team turned out great performances at the City Tournament this week resulting in two All-City Relays and two All-City Individual honors.  The Girls' 4 x 800m relay of Laura Cunningham, Kathryn Gerig, Rachel VanTries, and Kate Testerman got things started by finishing 2nd and earning All-City Honors - just 1 second off the school record.   Individually, Rebecca Reutman ran well to finish runner-up in the 200m dash for the 2nd straight year and Elissa Zachmann ran a great race in the 400m to place 3rd and break the 60 second barrier for the first time.  Zachmann's time of 59.21 seconds currently ranks her 16th in the State!  Reutman and Zachmann came back to team up with Testerman and Cunningham to place 3rd and pick up another All-City Recognition in the 4 x 400m Relay.
Especially notable is the fact that Rebecca Reutman will finish her Heritage Track and Field career with 6 All-City honors to her name, making her one of the most decorated Girl's Track and Field athletes in school history.  CONGRATULATIONS Lady Eagles!
