The Boys' Track & Field Team competed with incredible effort and spirit at the 2011 City Tournament and brought home the City Runner-up Trophy for the 3rd straight year. The seniors stepped up in a huge way to score an upset finish, just outdistancing powerhouse program Cathedral and the defending champion Arsenal Tech to finish 2nd to a very strong Bishop Chatard squad. Once again, we were underdogs coming in, probably about the 4th or 5th best team on paper, but the guys did a wonderful job of stepping up to the level of competition and producing courageous performances when it mattered most. Highlights include:
Nathan Hadley = 2x City Champion / 3 All-City Honors =21.5 Points Total
1600m: 1st in 4:26 = NEW SCHOOL RECORD - 4:26, breaking the 26 year-old record held by JP Dawes
800m: 1st in 2:03 (came from behind over the last 200m to win easily)
4 x 400m Relay Anchor: 3rd place = All-City (53.8 split)

Jack Morgan = City Runner-up in the 800m / All-City 4 x 400
800: 2nd place in 2:04 (moved up from 5th with 200m to go to finish well clear of 3rd and close on Hadley over the last 100m)
4 x 400m Relay: 3rd place = All City (53.8 split)
Michael Schnepp-Pfister = All-City in the Pole Vault (3rd place on sprained ankle!)
Discus: 7th (2 big points)

Great lead-off leg on the 4 x 800 relay (2:05.4 split = 3sec personal best)
Nate Clodgo = All-City, Lead-leg in the 4 x 400m Relay (54.5 split)
Also contributing key Team Points for the Eagles were Austin and Blake Puckett who teamed with Mitchell Mays and Jack Morgan to place 4th in the 4 x 800m Relay; Chris Davidson who placed 6th in the 1600m; Sam Vance who placed 6th in the 3200m; and Josh Hornback who placed 8th in the High Jump.
