Boys Track & Field Competes Well in Sectional Tournament

The Heritage Boys Track & Field team competed in the Sectional meet last night at North Central where they placed 8th with 21.5 points.  Nathan Hadley turned in an All-Sectional performance in the 1600m run as he placed 3rd, lowering his own school record to 4:24.56, and advancing to Regionals.

There were a number of 5th place finishes on the night, with athletes just missing advancement to Regionals:
Andrew Brunett in the Shot Put (5th with a new personal best of 49 feet 3 inches)
Josh Hornback in the Long Jump (5th in a new personal best of 20 feet 0 inches)
Brendon Burke in the Pole Vault (tied for 5th, tying his personal best with a height of 11 feet 0 inches)

It has been a great season for the entire Track and Field program with tremendous success at the City and Sectional Meets.  Nathan Hadley will be competing in the 1600m next Thursday, 5/26 at North Central, hoping to become the first distance runner in school history to advance to the State Meet with a top-3 finish.
