The Universal Cheerleaders Association (UCA) recently awarded our cheerleaders ‘Outstanding Achievement’ recognition in the annual American School Spirit Awards contest. The Award recognizes the top all-around programs in the country, and Heritage was the only cheer squad commended in the state of Indiana. Teams are judged on community service activities, outstanding athletic support, spirit raising activities and high academic standards. Congratulations Coaches Adrienne Thompson, Melinda Just and all of the girls for this extraordinary honor. Of note, our cheerleaders have been invited to appear on Channel 13’s Operation Basketball Friday, February 4 after cheering for our boys’ varsity basketball game at Triton Central. Be sure to watch the girls as they share our school spirit with the community.
