2010 Eagle Football Season Comes to an End

The Heritage Christian Eagles football team lost in the first round of sectional play on Friday night to the Shenandoah Raiders 35-14. It was a great season and there are plenty of things to look forward to in 2011.   Highlights from 2010 include quarterback Matt Hunt throwing for 2,371 yards with 24 touchdowns and 482 yards rushing with 5 touchdowns.  Alex Cook was the second leading rusher and scored 8 times on the year!  Anthony Warrum was the leading receiver with 1,230 yards and 14 touchdowns.  Kyle Green was 40 of 44 on extra points and 90% accuracy.  CJ Stein led the team in total tackles with 51, followed by Bryant Clayton with 40 tackles and Brendon Burke with 37 tackles on the year. The Young Eagles had a great year with a 7-3 record.  Mid season they were ranked as high as #6 in the state.  Look for great things from this football team in 2011.   We would like to wish seniors Brady Allard, Andrew Brill, Brendon Burke, Alex Cook, Kyle Green, Luis Llerena and CJ Stein much success as they leave the flock and endeavor to reach even greater heights.
