Student Athlete Echocardiogram Screenings – March 1

The St. Vincent Medical Group will once again be performing Echo screenings on Thursday, March 1 from 5:30pm to 7:30pm at the St. Vincent Heart Center located at 10580 N. Meridian Street, Indianapolis (3rd floor).  The screening is used to help identify several leading causes of congenital cardiovascular conditions placing athletes at risk for sudden collapse and/or death.  The assessment is open to any student athlete who will be entering the sixth grade in the fall of 2012.  You must register for the screening by calling 338-CARE (2273).  There is a $20 charge for the test and it takes about 20 minutes.  If you have any questions, please feel free to call the Athletic Department at (317) 813-3889.  This screening is NOT required to participate in our Athletic programs.

Softball Open Gym - All High School Girls WELCOME!

Softball Coach Rich Bailey is inviting every High School girl to consider coming out for softball this spring.  There is an open gym this Saturday at 2:00pm in the Auxiliary gym.  Why not come and give it a try?  Join a GREAT group of teammates as they continue the journey; just ask the girls who are already a part of the program about their experience!  Hope to see you tomorrow at 2:00pm!

Track & Field Call Out Meeting – January 26

There will be a call-out meeting for any high school student interested in joining this spring’s Track and Field team on Thursday, January 26th from 3:15-3:30pm in Coach Eric Richey's classroom (H-5).  If you are not able to attend the meeting but are interested in joining the team, please stop by Coach Richey’s classroom this week and sign up. 

Middle School Girls’ Lacrosse Call Out – January 24

Calling all 6^th, 7^th, and 8^th grade girls interested in joining the fastest growing sport at Heritage – LACROSSE!  The call out meeting will be held on Tuesday, January 24 during the Middle School lunch period (save room for some yummy dessert – provided by Coach Thomas).  Not sure?  Never played?  You are the player we want!  If you already know you are interested, complete the attached player information form (click on link below for form) and bring it to the call out meeting or turn in to the Middle School office.  If you have any questions, please email Coach Thomas at heritagegirlslacrosse@gmail.com.

Girls’ Basketball Team Wins 7th Straight City Tournament Title

The varsity girls’ basketball team won its 7^th consecutive City Tournament Championship last Saturday in a Hoosier barn burner against the Lady Irish of Cathedral High School.  After 3 periods, the score was tied at 41.  The Irish were shooting 55% from the 3 point area with 11 of 20, and the Lady Eagles 50% from the 3 point area with 12 of 24.  Led by Freshman Sydney Hall (23 points), and Seniors Brittany Webb (17 points) and Brittany Wells (12 points), the game came down to the buzzer with the Eagles making a shot in the last seconds to take the win 56 to 55.  Congratulations to the Coaches and girls! 

High School Girls’ Lacrosse – First Practice

Heritage Athletes Inspired by Tim Tebow

Graham Allgood Selected to All-City Soccer Team

Junior Graham Allgood was recently selected to the 2011 Indianapolis All-City Soccer team as a forward.  His 12 goals earned him enough votes by area coaches to make the team.  This is a great accomplishment for Graham and the school.  With a strong senior season, Graham can become the most recent Heritage player to repeat with this honor.  Congratulations Graham!

High School Girls’ Tennis Call Out Meeting – January 17
