GIRLS GOLF MATCH ADDED TO SCHEDULE

Our girls Golf team will play against Decatur Central High School this Thursday, September 2, 4:00pm at Winding River Golf Course. This is an added match that was not previously on the schedule.

BASEBALL TEAM WINS BACK TO BACK STATE TITLES

Our Heritage varsity baseball team achieved twice in a lifetime success on June 19, 2010 winning consecutive back to back State Titles. The team capped off a historic season with a 5-1 win over Delphi in the IHSAA 2A state championship game.

The Eagles were led on the mound by Sr. pitcher David Ledbetter who threw six innings of 1-hit baseball. Sr. Cam McWilliams paced the team at the plate with two hits and shut down the Delphi attack with two outstanding defensive plays in centerfield.

The victory secured back-to-back state championships for the first time in the baseball program’s history at HCS. The 2010 squad also set a school record for most wins in a season with 27. Congratulations to Ledbetter who was named first team All-State and was placed on the prestigious N/S All-Star team. David’s twin brother, Ryan Ledbetter, was also named first team All-State (short-stop).

PARTICIPATION FEE SCHEDULE

Given the realities of current economic conditions, the funding of extra-curricular activities continues to be a challenge for both private and public schools alike. Operating costs for team travel, officials, equipment, etc. continue to rise. In an effort to maintain current athletic program offerings at HCS, participation fees are being increased rather than cutting programs. Every effort is being made, school wide, to hold down operating costs and to pursue efficiencies and the Athletic Department is no exception. Participation fee charges for Fall sports teams will appear on the September student billing statements for High School and October statements for Middle School. We are pleased to continue to offer a wide range of athletic programs for your student athletes and we thank you for your support of HCS athletics.

HCS vs BISHOP CHATARD Girls Soccer at Lawrence Park

The girls JV and Varsity Soccer games scheduled for Thursday, August 19 against Bishop Chatard will be held at the Lawrence Soccer Complex, 5440 Herbert Lord Road, Indianapolis, IN 46216. This is located behind the Ft. Harrison Finance Center off of 56th Street.
